This page is for customers who have already pre ordered PVS Door Pods. It shows the current production status, the final refined results and how the shipping queue is structured.

We know that many of you have been waiting for a long time. We are pleased to confirm that testing is complete and the product now meets the standard we are happy to install on our own builds.
Current Status
Where The Project Sits Today
Testing is complete, the design is signed off, and we are now moving through the production run.

The final production sample has been installed, tested, and approved. It matches the intended design, the pods sit correctly on the card, and the finish is exactly where we want it.

We delayed this stage intentionally to ensure every detail was correct. We chose to refine the tooling until the parts were consistent rather than rushing out a version that was only 99% there.

Now that the tooling is delivering the quality we demand, we have moved to full production. The extended timeline allowed us to deliver a product that is refined, consistent, and worth the wait.

These items are signed off and in production.
Design And Structure
  • Overall Door Pod design and geometry.
  • Fitment on the door card with correct clearances.
  • Speaker grille pattern and layout.
  • Mounting points and fastener locations.
  • Internal structure for strength and long term use.
Production status. The shape, mounting and structure are locked. We are now running the machines to produce the units for your orders.
Real tools and queue. We are working from final production tooling. Your place in the queue stays tied to your original order date.
Speaker Fitment

The pods are built around common 6x9 and 6.5 inch speakers. The photos below show the pods at the maximum cutout sizes.

Size limits. 6x9 cutout 237 mm by 170 mm. 6.5 inch round cutout up to 170 mm. If your speaker template is larger than this it will not sit correctly or seal as intended.
The Final Result
What We Perfected
We spent the last few weeks tuning small details. These are the specific improvements that we insisted on before hitting the start button.
  • Edge transitions between the pod body and door card now feel consistent side to side.
  • Radii and corners have been reworked so they match each other closely.
  • Surface texture is uniform across the entire part, eliminating patchy areas.
  • Gap and flush checks during install have been verified for repeatable installs.

These points were small, but critical. Fixing them means you bolt your set in once and enjoy it rather than seeing small flaws every day. The product you receive is now at the factory level standard we promised.

Speaker Fitment
Cutout Sizes The Pods Are Designed For
These are the maximum recommended cutout sizes at the speaker opening.
  • 6x9 speaker, maximum cutout 237 mm long by 170 mm wide.
  • 6.5 inch speaker, round cutout up to 170 mm diameter.

If your speaker template is larger than these numbers it will not sit correctly in the grille area. Always check your speaker manufacturer cutout dimensions before trimming your door card.

How Production Will Run From Here
We are in the final stage. The steps below show how your order moves from the factory to your door.
Step 1

Tooling refined and testing complete. We have signed off on the surface finish and fitment.

Step 2

Design locked. No further changes will be made to the structure or appearance.

Step 3

Main production run active. Parts are being produced, packed, and lined up against the pre order list.

Step 4

Shipping strictly in chronological order. We will ship based on the original order date.

ETA at our Sydney dispatch warehouse: around 19 January, allowing 3–5 business days either side.

Common Questions From Pre Order Customers
Quick answers to the most common fitment, timing and order questions we receive.
Do I Need To Do Anything To Keep My Pre Order
No. If you are happy to stay in the queue, you do not need to do anything. Your order and your place in line stay as they are.
Can I Change My Shipping Address
Yes. Email info@pvsautomotive.com.au with your order number and your new address. We will update it before dispatch.
Will You Ship Early Or Partial Versions
No. We will not ship incomplete versions. Everyone in the queue will receive the same final version now that tooling is signed off.
What If I Cannot Wait Any Longer
We understand that builds change. If you prefer a refund now that we have reached the final stage, email info@pvsautomotive.com.au with your order number and the subject line Door Pod refund. We will process a refund for you and confirm by email.
Will Asking For Updates Move Me Back In The Queue
No. Asking questions, replying to the update email or talking with the team does not affect your place in the queue.
